We are a small, independent event-listing website based in Connecticut. We collect a limited amount of information, and we do not sell it.

What Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide, including:

Our forms do not accept file uploads. You cannot submit photographs, flyers, logos, audio, or other files through the Website, and we do not collect or publish user-uploaded media. All event submissions are text only.

Our website hosting provider may automatically record limited technical information when you use the Website, such as:

pages visited
date and time of visits
referring website
general geographic area
website interaction and performance information

This information is used to operate and secure the Website. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Submission Terms

We will not publicly display a submitter's personal email address or telephone number unless the submitter specifically requests or authorizes publication.

Information intended for an event listing is publicly displayed. This may include:

Do not submit private or confidential information in a field intended for public event details.

Mailing List
You can join our mailing list from any page on the Website. If you sign up, we collect your email address and use it to send a weekly email with upcoming event roundups and newly added listings.

We send this email roughly once a week. We may occasionally send a message about a significant change to the Website or these policies.

We use a third-party email service provider to manage the list and send messages. That provider stores subscriber email addresses on our behalf and may record whether a message was opened or a link was clicked.

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You may also email shorelinelivemusic@outlook.com and ask to be removed, and we will take you off the list.

We do not sell, rent, or trade our mailing list, and we do not use it to send advertising on behalf of other businesses.

Cookies and Analytics
Our website platform may set cookies that are necessary for the Website to function properly, such as remembering your preferences and keeping the site secure.

We do not currently use Google Analytics or any other analytics or advertising tracking tool. If we add one in the future, we will update this policy and its Last Updated date before or when we do.

You may be able to limit or block cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain website functions.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we do not track visitors across other websites for advertising, there is no cross-site tracking for a browser signal to turn off. If you send a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, it does not change how we handle your information, because we already do not sell or share it for advertising.

We Do Not Sell Your Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

We do not display third-party advertising on the Website. Featured Venue placements are paid promotional placements purchased by venues, as described in our Terms of Use. Those placements do not involve sharing visitor information with the venue.

Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including maintaining event records, handling disputes, enforcing agreements, and satisfying legal or operational requirements.

Submitted event listings and related records may remain archived after the event has occurred, so that we have a record of what was published and who submitted it.

Mailing-list subscriber information is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information. However, no website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you where required by law and as promptly as we reasonably can.

Your Choices and Privacy Requests
You may contact us to request that we:

correct inaccurate information
delete information when legally and operationally appropriate
remove an event listing you submitted

We aim to respond within 45 days. Some information may be retained when required for legal, security, recordkeeping, or dispute-resolution purposes, and we will tell you if that is the case.

Connecticut Residents
The Connecticut Data Privacy Act applies to businesses above certain size thresholds. Shoreline Live Music is a small independent website and does not meet those thresholds, so the Act does not currently apply to us.

Even so, we extend the following rights to Connecticut residents as a matter of practice:

Access — confirm whether we process your personal information and obtain a copy
Correction — correct inaccuracies in your personal information
Deletion — ask us to delete personal information you provided

We will respond to an appeal within 45 days with our decision and the reasoning behind it. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to the Connecticut Attorney General.

Children's Privacy
Shoreline Live Music is not directed toward children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information should contact us so that we can review and remove it when appropriate.

Many venues listed on the Website restrict admission to guests 21 and over. Confirm age requirements with the venue before attending.

External Websites
The Website links to venue websites, ticketing services, performer pages, social-media platforms, and other third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their privacy practices, security, accuracy, or content.

When you follow a link away from our site, that website's privacy policy governs, not ours.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Website, technology, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised Last Updated date.

If we make a material change, we will post a notice on this page for at least 30 days and, where we reasonably can, tell our mailing-list subscribers.
